During the 2022 Commonwealth Games training cycle, I kept running into the same issue: performance tools like timing gates and barbell velocity tracking systems were too expensive for many athletes and local clubs.
I started MATE Sports Tech to solve that problem by building affordable alternatives.

As a solo founder and only employee, I designed and shipped the full product stack end-to-end:
- PCB prototypes and hardware iterations
- Embedded firmware
- Four supporting applications

I ran the company for four years while competing at an elite level, scaled to paying customers in 25+ countries, and the business was acquired in January 2026 by Strength By Numbers.
