Like many others, at the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, with alot of time at home up my sleeve… I took up gardening!
As winter was approaching, my father and I decided to build a mini-greehouse. Being a stats geek, I wanted to extend this functionality further and monitor the temperatures.
Using a Wemos D1 Mini, humidity and temperature sensors I was able to do just that.
After connecting to the Raspberry Pi hotspot, I am able to view all the current and past temperatures through the Mobile App.
This allows me to somewhat control the humidity and temperature by opening the door OR covering up with shade.
Future plans could be to automate this process entirely based on sensor data.
